Port Orchard
Port Orchard was founded in 1886 and became the Kitsap County seat in 1893. The city is located nine miles west of Seattle by water and just south of Bremerton across Sinclair Inlet. The passenger-only ferry, known as the "foot ferry", links Port Orchard to Bremerton. The historic downtown area offers shopping, antiquing, restaurants, scenic viewpoints and picnic areas.
